Itinerary
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Meet your guide for a detailed briefing about the Kilimanjaro trek and safari. Rest and acclimatize.
Drive to Marangu Gate (1,860m) to begin your Kilimanjaro trek. Walk through lush rainforest to Mandara Hut (2,700m). Enjoy stunning views and acclimatize overnight.
Trekking time: 4-5 hours.
Continue trekking through rainforest and moorland to Horombo Hut (3,720m). Witness panoramic views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks.
Trekking time: 5-6 hours.
Ascend to Kibo Hut (4,700m) at the base of Kibo Peak. Prepare for summit night.
Trekking time: 6-7 hours.
Begin your ascent at midnight to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the summit of Kilimanjaro. Watch the sunrise from the top of Africa. Descend to Horombo Hut for overnight rest.
Trekking time: 10-12 hours.
Complete your descent to Marangu Gate. Receive a summit certificate before returning to your hotel in Arusha for rest.
